Big News: My First Festival + 60 Days of Music Creation
AIYA UPDATE 02
Hi,
Two exciting updates to share with you today. Let’s jump right in:
1. My First Festival Show
The first ever Aiya show is happening at the Underground Sound Festival in Austin, TX this April. This is a milestone I’ve been working toward for years, and it’s finally happening. My goal is to use shows as part of the iterative process to debut/test music and begin figuring out what an Aiya show is.

Look at Aiya. Playing a Friday slot. So inspirational 🥹.
Want to see this develop? Check out my Instagram and TikTok. Share it with anyone you think might want to come :)
Further details on the festival can be found at the Underground Sound Festival site.
2. The 60 DAYS Project
I don't remember where I read it, but I read that it takes 60 days in order to cement a new habit or action in your life.
My first thought was I should do that for music.
So I'm starting the 60 DAYS project: 60 ideas in 60 days.
The main objective is to figure out what it is I want out of my music and then spend 60 days writing ideas to embody that. This will highlight the gaps in my ability or understanding of how to do what I want to do with my music. I will then solve these gaps and my belief is that my music will level up as a byproduct.
A rising tide lifts all boats type shi.
Any aspect of my music is fair game but the key areas are:
Sound Design/Processing
Track Structure Understanding
Workflow
I made 3 rules for the project:
I will not focus on writing a good song. I will only focus on executing big picture ideas. If a good song comes from that, great. If not, that’s ok.
Every day I will finish what I’ve written and write out a +/- list. This will identify what went well, and where I see possible gaps in my process. I will keep a running note of gaps and any big-picture trends that reveal themselves.
I will iterate and pivot as needed.
For the next 8 weeks, I’ll send weekly updates. You’ll see the ideas I’m working on, what my gaps are and what I’m learning.
3. Happy 1 Month (and 7 Days) to Remnants 1
Last month, I dropped my Remnants 1 project. If you haven’t had a chance to listen yet, you can do so here. Feel free to share with anyone you think would be interested in hearing it. I appreciate everyone who has given it a listen!
